Ed and Molly Buckley,

their vows underwater. |
St.
Croix - US Virgin Islands June 2004
On Thursday June
24, 2004 Ed and Molly Buckley, the owners of St.
Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (SCUBA)
dive shop in St. Croix, will celebrate their tenth anniversary with
a ceremony under the sea. The couple will appear at 1:30 pm live at
www.GotoStCroix.com before they take the
plunge and again at 6:30 pm for a champagne toast. Images of the underwater
ceremony, taken by Doug Kaufman, will be posted on this page immediately
following the ceremony! Guests from around the world have been invited
to log onto www.gotostcroix.com/live
to celebrate with the happy couple.

Captain
John Macy, better known locally as Big
Beard, will officiate the underwater ceremony. He has married
more than 500 couples in more than 15 years as a licensed minister
on St. Croix. Witnesses of underwater weddings sign the marriage
license while underwater with a grease pencil on a waterproof
document. For more details about Big Beard's Wedding Packages,
visit www.bigbeards.com.
Diving is
provided by St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures,
voted the number one dive staff and number two dive operator
in the world and is a PADI Gold Palm IDC facility. For more
details visit www.stcroixscuba.com.
The ceremony
will be videotaped by Jerry Merten who specializes in underwater
films. Thanks to special gear provided by Ocean Reef Group,
the voices of Big Beard and the happy couple will be recorded
from under the sea. |

On
September 13, 2003, as Big Beard officiated, Jerry videotaped
and the crew from SCUBA dive shop orchestrated the
largest under water wedding according to the Guinness
Book of World Records.
More than
103 guests attended the underwater wedding ceremony of John
Santino and fiancée Toni Wilson. Though Ed and Molly
are having a much smaller underwater ceremony, it is expected
that more than 15,000 will celebrate with the couple by logging
onto the webcam at www.GotoStCroix.com/live. |
